CIVIL WAR LECTURE SERIES AT GCC

The Civil War Lecture Series at GCC is moving bolding forward. Great enthusiastic crowds have found their way to the Conable Tech. Building to hear a talk on Antebellum America and one on the evolution of the Union Cavalry. Two events remain on the spring schedule: April 5th Don Burkel will present a lecture on Emory Upton – “Upton: Days of Challenge”, and on April 12th Derek Maxfield will present a talk entitled, “What did/does the Civil War Mean to American Identity.” That same night, April 12th, the winners of the high school essay contest will be announced with a ceremony preceding the lecture.

All lectures are free and open to the public. The BEST Center requests that folks pre-register. For information or to register call 585-345-6868.
