September 12 Batavia History

History of Batavia and a sneak peek at the history of the Peace Garden

September 19 Civil War Soldiers from Alabama & Elba

A power-point program on how the Civil War affected these towns, its people and the men who went off to fight to preserve the union.

Judith Littlejohn, Elba Town & Village Historian

September 26 Genesee County Home

A power-point presentation history of the County Home also features the personal side of the people who lived there using Civil War letters, correspondence regarding children and purchases made at the Home. Speakers: Susan Conklin, Genesee County Historian &

Linda Schmidt, Bethany Town Historian

October 3 Ghost Walks are at 7:30 and 8:00 pm

Adventure through the Westside of Batavia and hear stories of ghosts, murders, and the supernatural. The walk will take about 2 hours.
